Capital District Transportation Authority Selects Tool Tool for Major Improvement Project
The Capital District Transportation Authority, a major public transportation provider in upstate New York, has selected Total Tool for a major improvement project.
Total Tool will install 13 heavy-duty in-ground lifts at three bus maintenance facilities operated by CDTA. The facilities are located in the cities of Albany, Troy, and Schenectady.
Along with the in-ground lifts, Total Tool is also installing a composite pit to replace existing pits at the facilities.
The contract was awarded following a competitive bid process in which Total Tool’s products and services met the high standards set by CDTA.
“Total Tool is proud to have been selected by CDTA to upgrade three maintenance facilities with new and improved in-ground lifts. CDTA provides outstanding and needed services in the Capital Region, and Total Tool is proud to be part of that mission,” said Total Tool’s Peter Corsi.
The bus maintenance facilities play a major role in keeping the CDTA fleet operating seven days a week. The CDTA fleet includes more than 300 vehicles.
CDTA provides service in Albany, Rensselaer, Saratoga, and Schenectady counties, covering 2,300 square miles with 3,125 bus stops.
